Survey Updates

Hey all!

As posted last week all surveys have been sent out to backers. The survey is what will allow you to enter in shipping info, adjust your pledge, or add on additional items as needed.

If you didn't receive the survey there are likely two reasons:

  • You selected the Pay Over Time option for your pledge. If so, you will not receive your survey until the final payment is made. The payment schedule is currently July 26 and August 26. Once the final payment is processed you'll receive your survey.
  1. You created your Kickstarter account with an Apple ID private relay address that looks something like this: [email protected]
    This kind of email address keeps emails from being received from the pledge manager (BackerKit) such as surveys, shipping updates, and requests for information. If you set up your Kickstarter account with this kind of email please contact me directly with an alternative email address you'd like to use and I'll update it in the pledge manager (BackerKit) and get your survey out to you.

Surveys Sent!

Thank you to everyone who participated in the smoke test. We've received all of the data that we need and now we get to send out the rest of the surveys!!

Please keep in mind that the surveys are sent to the email address you used to sign up to Kickstarter. With this survey you can verify your pledge, add on any extra items you might want, and submit shipping information. 

Important note: Many backers have signed up to Kickstarter through their Apple mobile device via a private AppleID relay email address that looks similar to the following:

[email protected]

This means that you will not receive the survey email, or any other emails from the pledge manager (BackerKit) including shipping updates or tracking info once the items have been sent. I will be happy to help update the email address in BackerKit, but will be unable to update it in Kickstarter.

If you do not receive your survey in the next 48-72 hours please contact me directly and I will be happy to assist.

Smoke Test

Hey everyone!

Whether you're new to crowdfunding, or you're an expert, today is an exciting day.

Today we'll be sending out what is called a smoke test which sends surveys to 5% of backers from each pledge level in the campaign. If you don't receive the survey in this testing phase it will come later this week.

This is just a quick way to catch any errors and ensure that the survey works as expected. 

Once the smoke test is complete, and we can confirm no errors, we'll send surveys to the rest of you later this week. If you're new to crowdfunding the survey is what allows you to adjust your pledge, add on any extras you might want, and to enter in your shipping information.

Please note that if you chose the Pay Over Time feature you will NOT receive a survey until all payments have been received. This only affects when you'll receive the survey and won't delay you getting your books, add-ons, or anything else related to the campaign.

Thanks to everyone for making this our most successful project ever. This has been a blast and it would not have been possible without you!!

NEXT STEPS

Now for a little housekeeping. With the campaign done, here is what you can expect in the coming weeks. There is a LOT of information below so please read it carefully.

  • First, Kickstarter will process all of your payments. That will take approximately 15 days. If you chose the Pay Over Time option your first payment will be collected at this time. 
     
  • Once the payments have been processed by Kickstarter, we will activate the pledge manager (BackerKit) and send out surveys to the email addresses you have attached to your Kickstarter account. If you chose the Pay Over Time option your survey will be sent out 48 hours after the final payment has been processed.
     
  • In the next two weeks we will also also be activating what is called a 'pre-order store' for anyone that missed the campaign or was not able to pledge. Once it is up and running we will communicate that out.
     
  • After you have received your survey please answer your survey questions and grab any extra Add-Ons you want. Charges for additional items will be processed automatically as you complete your survey.
     
  • Our estimated fulfillment date is May 2027. But you can expect to see an update from us at least once a month. Sometimes these updates will be about progress with the books, add-ons, and other fun things related to the project. Or they may just be us checking in to let you know we're all still hard at work. Regardless, stay tuned here for all the latest!
